Notes

New pattern for a golf towel. I wanted to design a golf related gift, and the golf towel is the one-size-fits-all golf gift!

While I normally create my golf headcovers from wool or washable wool, I decided that a cotton blend would be a better choice for a rugged, washable golf towel. For this first towel, I used Cotton-ish, a cotton blend DK weight yarn, held double to get a worsted weight, but the actual pattern will be written for worsted cotton yarns.

I chose darker colors for the background and diamonds and used a touch of yellow for the contrast stitching which is integrated into the pattern (not duplicate stitch). (I’m a golfer so I know golf towels DO get dirty - this one can be tossed in the washer for many seasons of use!)

This was a fun knit - argyle provides so many color combination possibilities!
