Made this for my 4 1/2 year old daughter. She had picked out the yarn on a trip to Michael’s a couple months ago, and I finally got around to using it. This was the perfect pattern for it! Worked up quick. I crochet tightly, so I went up a hook size. Could’ve gone up probably another size, but Ella is petite so I wasn’t worried about it being too small.

Last photo shows how much yarn I had left at the end. I was too Type A to let the yarn change colors naturally, so I cut and fastened off at most color changes. (I even used the leftover blue yarn from a different Caron Cakes that wasn’t an exact match but close enough, when I lost at yarn chicken in round 17!)

In round 10, I had to sneak in an extra dc as the count should really be a total of 57 DC (half of 114 from the previous rounds), but an even number of stitches is needed for the shell pattern in the next round.

Going to add a button or two as these tend to fall off the shoulder easily. Will update with better photos in the daylight tomorrow.
