This is the classic cozy neckwarmer version of the pattern. It’s a super quick, one-skein knit, worked in the round, using basic increases and decreases. Simple shaping allows the bottom edge to scallop softly on the neck, but this effect is enhanced with wet blocking.

Inspired by the imagery of Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings and Hobbit stories. The bold lace stitch pattern is one I adapted from a traditional Estonian stitch and is easily memorized.
