I chose this hat as my second ever knitting project because it looked like ot would be a way to learn a lot of new skills in one project.
I learned:

  2. How to knit in the round
  3. How to do a provisional cast on
  4. How to do rib stitching
  5. How to do seed stitch
  6. How to decrease the number of stitches
  7. How to knit off of a chart
  8. How to close the top of a hat
  9. How to make a pompom
