Star was added with duplicate stitches.

I- cord was knit with us size 6 double pointed needles and was made long enough to wrap the bag twice, once through the holes and them back around outside the holes to get the animal crossing asthetic

I did a few decreases before adding the holes for the I cord to make it more of a rounded shape.
Once I had knit to my desired height I did this:

Decrease row 1: “k2tog k6” repeated for the rest of the round.

Row 2&3: k all stitches

Row 4: “k2tog k5” repeat for the rest of the round

Row 5: k all stitches

Row 6: “k2tog k4” repeat for the rest of the round

Row 7-11: k all stitches

Row 12: start drawstring row and continue to follow pattern.

To start I followed the patterns method for increases till I had 64 stitches on my needles. Then I knit 22 rounds before starting my decreases.
