I love garter stitch and stripes and Veera’s desings. This is so pretty. And I’m jealous of Laika’s version of this. I need one myself too.

April 22nd: The first section is done and I don’t have first stripe yarn in a cake, nooooo! I’ll have to wait until tomorrow. Sniffle.

May 2nd: Started the short row section. I’m so in love with the color combo.

May 8th: 19 short row turns to go before edging.

May 11th: All stripes are done, only the edging to go. Yay! This is going to be lovely and huge.

May 13th: Finished! Love love love the end result. I’m not going to block this (I don’t know where would I even do that since this is like ziljon meters long), just wet it and put it to try somewhere. I used Jeny’s suprisingly stretchy bind off for the first time and really liked it. Although, you really can’t think at all when doing the yarn overs or you’ll do them “right” not wrong.
