Can’t wait to see how this absolutely lovely test knit works out :) The color of this yarn is knitting up gorgeously! I’m hoping that I will have enough yarn. Though I was able to knit it to gauge, it feels a lot heavier than other DK weights I’ve knit with. See more info on the shawl in the forum

01/20/12 swatching with US 7’s. Swatch blocking and drying now. I think I’m pretty well spot on, we’ll see in the morning when it’s dry.

01/21/12 gauge is 17 stitches and 26 rows in 4”. I will try an 8 and see how that goes. The 8’s got 16 stitches and 24 rows.

01/22/13 Finally cast on and completed first few rows of garter stitch.

01/26/13 Got through 8 sets of short rows.

01/27/13 Finished all short rows. Started second skein near the end of the 13th set of short rows.

01/28/13 Finished second set of garter stitch rows. Ready to start the chart.

01/30/13 One quarter of the way through the chart, so far so good I haven’t found any errors.

01/31/13 Joined third skein three quarters through row 15.

02/01/13 Halfway through chart.

02/02/13 Just finished row 30. I’m going to have to hit the forums and see if somebody will sell me another skein of this color. I probably will get 2-3 more rows out of this 3rd skein. 1/3 through row 35, end of the line until somebody takes pity on me.

02/03/13 I may have a skein on the way, woo hoo, so I might finish this before the deadline :)

02/07/13 Yarn came today, got it wound up on my lunch hour. Hopefully I can finish this today or tomorrow and get it blocked over the weekend. I can’t wait to see this off the needles.

02/08/13 Finally done, woo hoo! Just need to weave in ends and block.
