I made these fancy socks according to the wish of my daughter “vintage looking socks for a nerd”. So I thought mid calf socks with an old fashioned heel construction and a broad rib cuff would best fullfill this requirement, a lot of big eye holes shall give a friendly look and make the socks wearable in spring. The yarn is the new Regia premium silk yarn which is available in shops from on mid July 2018. I’ve got a test ball (I can say that this yarn is gorgeous!) therefore I could make the socks already in April.
