This shawl is intended to be a after-surgery gift to my Doctor Who loving mother.
Unfortunately she’ll be getting it over a year after her recovery…

Accidentally made a mistake on the third repeat.
My sleep-deprived brain knitted the second half row 16 as p2 *k5, p2, k4, p2* instead of the ssk, yo eyelet row.
Thankfully it’s a very lucky mistake positioning that blends in, and I don’t have to undo 10 rows of knitting.
Just have to suffer with the left half of one Tardis row having only 3 pairs of eyelets.

Ran out of yarn. Hoping I can travel to buy more very soon.

Trying to resume knitting. Added first ball of new yarn today.

Still working on it… slowly…

Today I frogged 20 rows of stitching because I forgot to do the cables in the last repeat.
I tried at some point last year to drop stitches down to where the cable stitches needed to be, but the effort and the completed appearance of re-knitting all of the stitching wasn’t worth it. I only managed to complete one column of repeat before putting it aside for about half a year.
But it’s fixed now and I can start working on it again!
(Sorry mum!)

It’s been about a year since I last touched this shawl, but i’m working on it again.
Had to switch to shorter cable needles as the needles it was on had a very sticky cable. Not helped by the fuzzy yarn that was leftover from the big frogging I had to do.
Can I finish this before mum’s birthday this year? I home so!

Added hopefully the last ball of yarn to this project.
I’ve finally got a moveable shelf setup at my computer table that makes knitting this monster a bit easier.
Soon it’ll be done! SOON!

Finally! Mum is happy with the length, I am happy with the length, and it’s now time to wrap up the knitting!
My row counter says there are 21 completed repeats, but I’m not 100%. I remember having a few problems with losing data a few years ago.
Used this version of the sewn bind-off from Purl Soho.
I’ll need to steam block it when I can, but it’s done now!
