Improvising a design, but stuck on how to make a specific increase… on hold for now.

Alright, this was originally meant to be a cowl on a ribbed pullover. Although the pattern was okay, the transition from the low-stitch count of the cowl to the high-stitch count of the body did not look good at all. Made several attempts, but chose to make a hat instead.
