Notes

As this skein is very small, only CO 25, enough for two pattern repeats, with a stitch between, and includes edge stitches.

I used all of the skein except for a 50” piece of yarn. The scarf is curling in on itself, making it appear much narrower than it is and the pattern isn’t visible - not sure if this is due to the pattern or the yarn.

In the top three photos, I stretched and pulled the scarf open to show the pattern.

The edges are nicely scalloped due to the pattern.
Should I block it?

Blocked by soaking in cold water, squeezed out excess, lightly pinned flat to a layer of towels.

Three days later…
The piece has lost most of its curl!!! So surprised by this. The fourth photo, yellow background, shows the post-blocked scarf. I did not stretch or pull or otherwise arrange the material, other than tossing one end over the shoulder.

I’m so glad I blocked this as the pattern is now visible. Will it stay open, though? Should I have used starch?

This would make a lovely curtain in a thread-weight yarn.
