2.22.11 Cast on for the newborn size. I’m half way through after 2 hours of knitting. I love this pattern! So simple and so quick.

2.23.11 (12:56am) bound off using Jen’s Suprisingly Stretchy Bind-off and am working on the ear flap and strap now.

(1:54am) sewing the buttons on now.

(2:27am) finished! the only problem I had was that I twisted the purled short rows in the first three sections so they look a little wonky… but that’s my fault not the patterns. All in all I really liked working this hat and I“m so stoked that I finished it in one night!

Just under one skein was used for both this hat and the baby mitts.
