My adorable, hilarious co-worker Thuc and her husband moved to the wilds of northern British Columbia six months ago to take new jobs. Then she found out she was pregnant with twins. Ah, life. These little shoes are a pre-birth gift, for a baby shower next weekend in Thuc’s honour.

I adore this pattern! It’s big brother pattern (which I made and posted about here) is also deservedly popular, but these are just about the cutest baby shoes I’ve ever seen. As with the adult version, I got a lot better at making these after the first one, and now I could almost make them without the pattern. Aspects of the pattern are tricky to figure out at first (specifically, the slip stitching and construction at the end), but once you get the hang of it it all makes sense.

These make up really fast - maybe an hour per shoe. They also seemed to use up almost no yarn!
