I adore the colour of this yarn, and I was definitely swayed by the beautiful advertising display at the yarn store. In reality, however, these two hats cost nearly $40 CAD to make, and the yarn broke so many times while I was making them that I started to lose patience. In addition, the yarn felt unpleasant to work with - like there was something synthetic about it, although it’s labeled 100% wool of various kinds.

The finished hats are fine - I’ll add them to my collection for Christmas 2014. But I won’t buy the Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (their worsted product) again. Not a nice enough yarn for the price.
