My daughter’s best friend, Courtney, is in her 3rd pregnancy, this one is due in March 2016 and follows a miscarriage, so it’s deemed a “rainbow” baby.

This blanket is a white corner to corner blanket with colored stripes in the middle in the order of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. I am using Deborah Norville’s Everday Soft in neon colors for bright fun, and they will be repeated in the border to bring it all together and balanced. I realize the last color “violet” is kinda dark purple, but the shade of violet was just too pink, this is a boy.

The border is done with an initial white sc border, evening up stitches around before starting the border, then seed-stitch, starting with white then the rainbow colors in order ending with the purple.
