I am making the afghan size in Seahawk colors using the Caron Simply Soft yarn. This yarn is very smooth to crochet with and is making the blanket come out really soft, dense and warm with out being bulky. This pattern is really easy to work up with the pattern repeats. It goes pretty quick and the end result looks great. Once the blanket gets big it is a little difficult to maneuver around but that goes for any larger blanket. I will definitely be making this again. I already have my colors picked out and will be making the twin bed size.
