Don’t know why I didn’t start with a provisional cast-on for the band.

I started with a 3 stitch iCord at beginning and end of the cuff with size 5 needles. Knitted to about 18-19”. Picked up the stitches at cast-on and did a three-needle bind off. Held on to the last stitch and picked up around the iCord edge (about 90 sts). Continued with size 6 needles with double seed stitch (or moss stitch) to about 11-12” for the slouchy look. Decreased quickly fudging the pattern to make it look like double seed stitch as close as possible by either k1, p2 tog or p2 tog k1 around for about 4 rounds (really this wasn’t the best way but didn’t feel like plotting this part too much). I like the results though the back seam where I first began picking up at the iCord edge looks a bit wonky - but I was just making it up as I went and didn’t care too much for perfection here.
