Skin tone is sport weight held double. Eyes are 15mm brown, instead of the asked-for 12mm, since I went up a hook size due to using worsted weight yarn.

I added an extra round of 14 st to each leg to make him a smidge taller.

For his right hand only, I switched to black after the first 2 rounds in order to do his one fingerless glove.

The Ring of Barahir is a green bead sewn on with silver lame thread.

His sword was improvised using pictures from the movie and models found through a Google Image search.

I added several extra rows to the bottom of his cloak in order to compensate for his height. (I do wish I had actually followed the first part of the cloak directions fully, but I ended up with too many stitches coming off of the hood.)

The Evenstar necklace and elven brooch were printed onto iron-on twill patches. The Evenstar was folded to itself and ironed around a necklace. The brooch I ironed to a piece of green felt, then cut it out and krazy glued it on to the cloak’s fastener. (There is a brown button clasp on the inside of the cloak, so it can be removed.)

And the goatee was improvised from the dwarf pattern by this same pattern designer.

Oh! The hair. The top layer of hair is actually the under layer from the pattern. The bottom layer I also improvised, adding 3 hdc to the original under layer directions.
