Enjoying this pattern, though the start and end to every row varies so I can’t just motor away, I have to keep checking what to do. Once the first few stitches are done it’s very straightforward though.

I don’t like hooking with two strands of yarn, so decided to use a slightly thicker yarn. I also tend to come up smaller than gauge, so 4ply bamboo/cotton is working out perfectly for me. I am using a larger hook also and have the right gauge horizontally now but still coming up a bit short vertically, so although I’m making the Medium size, I’m adding on the extra two rows at the top as for the Large size. I shall know after blocking if it’s ok……

This yarn is GORGEOUS. I shall definitely be using it again!! Nice to work with in the summer heat as well.

I’ve had some problems with the pattern and had to contact Red Herat to resolve them…. Then more came up which I was able to find a solution for by myself but it is highly annoying to come across so many mistakes in one pattern :(. It’s a shame as the pattern is intrinsically lovely and I am planning to make another version of it, maybe rather longer, for myself. Oh yes, that was another thing, after blocking to the exact length given in the pattern, it is quite short. More like a shrug than a cardigan. The cardigan in the pattern photo seems in else real ways to have been made differently than the pattern says to do!

Finally, I have added a row of single crochet round the end of the sleeves as they looked unfinished left as they were.
