• Not sure if I like to knit with TML, but I love the resulting fabric at this guage, soft, dense and slightly stretchy only widthwise. Doesn’t seem to have any stretch vertically, wonder how it will behave when I block it.
• purchased 3 skeins of TML in Iris (I THINK this should be a darker version of Curiosity). Also think that I will modify the pattern to be a cardigan, get rid of the lace (replacing it gradually with the darker TML). Thinking of an icord bind off on all edges using Iris. Still in the thinking phase, and I have TONs of time since it is knitting up way slow, other than the cardigan portion which is happening soonish, everything else happens much much later. :) Top Down rocks!

• long time no posting, but I’ve finished the body, very cool ribbing (with some staggered cables, need to remember to take some pictures.
• icord bind off along the bottom hem, and it looks amazing!
• Plan is now to do the sleeves (with thumb holes cause I Love those now), with icord bind off for both the cuff and for the thumb holes. and then some kind of plan for the button band. Still waffling on if it should be buttons, or if it should be a zipper. I like a zipper better, but sewing a zipper on scares me a bit, and button holes are easier for me to manage. Still have a bit of time before then. Once the button band is done, going to do the icord bindoff (which I have an 8th of a skein still attached), all the way around.

This sweater is going to be amazing :) Love the colour, love the feel, and completely don’t understand how I could be crazy enough to knit a sweater like this with size 1 needles…

Okay, one inch of buttonband/border done, and I tried it on and it looks really thin… I need at least another inch, which I do have enough yarn for, but an inch is 14 rows, and each row takes 40 mins… This isn’t going to be done this week… Especially if I’m going to do icord bind off all the way around… BUT it fits really well! :)

20120305 - LOVE it :) it’s done, fits like a dream, need to figure out zipper or buttons now :) Thinking maybe knotted buttons?
