Notes

Jan 27, 2013 sigh - made a baby sock. Will start again and this time check gauge. Used 2.5mm needles 31sts/10cm

Jan 28, 2013 This pattern has strange gauge. Had to go up to 3.75mm needles to get it - 26 sts & 50 rows per 10cm.

Sock 1 done. This time it fits. Gauge is a bit loose in terms of how the fabric comes out. I think not suitable for hard use of socks (wear out too quickly) but they feel squishy. I think socks should be knit at a tighter gauge. Not sure how it’s possible to get gauge with 2.5mm needles or anywhere close. Possibly gauge from a very stretched out sock? Note though, that even VERY stretched out, baby sock would NOT have fit me. It didn’t fit over my foot, let alone heel. I have tiny feet too. They look pretty funky though.

69 rows x 31 sts

February 18, 2014 Finally took the plunge, unseamed the toe of one sock and reseamed so that the seam was on the inside and socks swirl in opposite directions. Took me a while to do that!
