Doing the largest size with 3.25mm needles. Was getting 28sts/10cm gauge.

Mod to use pattern from dragon skin wrap for the bottom half. That needs to be knit bottom up so putting the top half of the kyoto on stitch holders, knit the bottom, then graft them together. Funnily enough, stitch count is perfect for largest size kyoto as it will be 143 sts which is exactly 5.5 repeats of the dragon skin pattern. The 0.5 stops at a perfect spot (plain knit on either side) as well.

March 19, 2014 Damn you momokyoto! Knitted the dragon skin pattern up to the 6 inches and then I realised I picked the wrong number to cast on. Had a sad and then frogged to restart the patterning. sigh. Not 221 sts (8.5 repeats) but 143 sts with 5.5 repeats. Had a sad a while ago so only posted today after a few days of sad.
