This reminded me of an American Indian blanket
I saw when traveling across the southwest when
I was a child. Turned out exactly like I wanted.
Very easy.
It’s all single crochet.
Make a chain of desired length you would like your blanket to be. Use any size hook you are comfortable with. I made my starting chain 140 stitches with a K hook.
Crochet 2 rows black, 2 rows white, 2 rows black,
then…
pick a solid color,
Crochet 3 rows of solid color
3 rows of variegated color
3 rows of solid color.
Repeat with the black and white rows.
Make it as big as you like.
