Starting the Hat Body with this provisional CO. The pattern doesn’t call for a provisional CO, but after doing this hat the first time and having an impossible time trying to pick up the CO stitches when folding and joining the facing to the inside of the hat, think it’ll be easier for me with live stitches from a provisional.

Bottom brim attached to hat body.

Side wedges finished. Hat facing, which was provisionally CO, was folded to the inside and knit-joined to the hat all around except for the 8 stitches at the back of the hat. The provisional CO is a huge help when attaching the facing to the inside.

Working on the top and faux iCord edges.

Surprising how quickly this detailed hat works up.

Felt a little bit loose, so shrank it a little by soaking in hot water for 10 minutes, rinse in cold water, blot well in a towel​, then put in the dryer for 10 minutes. Now it’s finishing air drying on my wig form.
