Notes

334 CO is a lot, but I decided to do iCord CO anyway. Took me over 3 hours! dizzy_face‍dizzy But I wanted the look and weight of the iCord; and my BFF of 50+ years is definitely worth the time and effort. Also knit a row after the iCord before beginning the pattern.

Chose this pattern for Marieanne because she loves (and grows) tulips; and yellow is her favorite color. Will be a gift for her 72nd birthday.

My 3rd WIP. Ah well! face_with_rolling_eyes

Barely into it and can see why others noted they wished it had been charted. I agree, and I’m not a huge chart knitter.

01-28-2023

Finished the stripped tulips section, adding a couple extra rows. Then decided to do a Latvian braid because I’d never done one and thought it would be a pretty addition. Looks great, but would be much easier (and quicker!) on pieces with MUCH fewer stitches due to the 2 colors twisting and untwisting in the process. This braid took nearly 3 hours to complete.

02-05-2023

Decided to take the iCord BO around both of the sides of the stripped tulips section for a more cohesive edge all around. Picked up 30 stitches along each; then added a stitch before and after the 30th picked up stitch by the top edge to ease the turn from sides to top edge. See photo 2/5/23.
