I have large 3 pound cones of natural 8/2 ring spun cotton from Unicorn Weaving Yarns (a Quebec Etsy shop) and decided to put on a 10 yard warp and just play with different drafts.

So the threading was a simple 16 shaft point twill and that stays the same through out. I chose various drafts from Hanweaving.net and 2 or 3 were modified further as I started experimenting. They are like siblings: none are alike but have some points in common.

I was also able to do some stash busting with the weft yarns and I had a number of empty cones go into the recycle bin (always satisfying !)

I turned the hems and hand sewed them. I’m not a fan of the ‘stitch ditch line’, and besides, its a task I enjoy.
