This project came darn close to being a ‘dog on the loom’ but I hung in there and got the warp off last week!
The picture shows a sample section for my records, showing the three treadlings I used. Very striking patterns!
It’s 4/8 cotton, sett 18 epi, threaded in an 8 shaft point twill for bird’s eye twill. These are to be three sets of 4 mats…. or 12 yards worth. The weft was mushroom orlec (roughly 2/8 size) with 10/2 inmerc black for the hem allowance.
I serged them apart and now hand sewing the hems.
One set for us and 2 sets for the sale box.
