It seems every weaver I know has tried weaving this draft up and it was on my ‘do-do’ list as well. I wanted to try something a little different though.

The flipping satin weave blocks and a play of white on white….. and just skinny stripes of muted colours in the warp.

I got it wound up, beamed on and a runner (of 3 planned) woven and a medical issue came up where I could not treadle and it went on for weeks!

Finally in late December ‘21 and early January ‘22 I got the other 2 runners woven and a sample for my records.

There is ladder hemstitching at either end of all three runners and the hems were turned and hand sewn.

I wove one runner with weft stripes and its lovely but I actually prefer the plainer runners. They are all perfect for the coming Spring.
