These scarves are my last project to be completed this year 2020….. and what a year its been! Totally sucked.

So one scarf is “Storm Cloud”….. and with a new year around the corner “Silver Lining” for a ray of hope.

This was a 208 ends / 7 yard painted warp from Carr Park Artisans called Thunderstorm and featured greys, blue/ black, beige and silvers. I used shale and ruby for borders. Then I auditioned weft colours and it came down to black and silver…. shale was simply too ‘matchy-matchy’. Of the two scarves I like the black best…. but the silver has a subtle elegance to it and the pattern is revealed by play of light in places…. and colour play elsewhere.

These will be for sale in my Etsy shop eventually though I’m not sure anyone would want a reminder of the year!
