5/1/2012: I finished the edging and blocked today. I didn’t do the frilled CO or picot edge. I decided to do crochet shell edging and it turned out wonderfully! Since the yarn is so stretchy I used the specified needle, but made the size 2 with size 4 skirt length. My daughter is 3 and she said she wanted it long. So it’s just right with the ease. If I make it again with a cotton yarn, I’ll definately have to make it the larger size. The yarn striped out nicely on this!

I received a random baby shower gift of a ruffle-edged blanket and hat from family of family. The yarn is so stretchy, and the blanket was very open-stitch and annoying, so I pulled it out since we never used it. There’s a ton of it, so I’ll probably get another good project out of it. Since I have no idea what kind of yarn it is (but I’m sure it’s acrylic), I thought I’d test it on something new. We’ll see how it turns out…
