There is no picture on Ravelry of this beautiful jacket so I took a picture of the picture on the front of the pattern. See stash link for color details for the yarn I’m using.
7-Oct-2012: 10 colors of the Lambs Pride Kettle dye colors. Located the yarn and settling down to swatch. Depending on how the gauge looks, I will either make the small or the medium.
I am not thrilled with all the colors I have. At the time I bought them several years ago, I went to all 3 local stores that carried it and bought the 10 kettle dyed colors I could find. I think I’ll head out today and see if I can’t get a couple more. I think my greens are too similar.
9-Oct-2012: Ended up buying three more colors. A pink, a variegated pink (that I’m using for the lavendar) and a brighter green. After knitting up a bit I decided the lime green was too much so am going back to my original olive-y green. Have about 5 inches done. It’s going MUCH faster than I thought it would and I’m really enjoying it. Had to go up to a size 11 to get gauge.
16-Oct-2012: I can’t believe how fast this is working up. I think I’m a little more than halfway thru the bottom of the body. Really loving the way it looks.
22-Oct-2012: Bottom of the body is done! Starting on the yoke today.
24-Oct-2012: The yoke is not nearly as much fun as the body. Glad I did the other piece first or I wouldn’t have finished this. Just need to power thru and get to the sleeves!
29-Oct-2012: Ripped out the 5 inches of yoke I had completed and tried doing “regular” intarsia. It looked stupid. Then tried just stripes in linen stitch. Didn’t like that either. So it’s back to linen stitch intarsia. Which is painful.
