Border pattern (cast on 100 st using 4.5mm needles)
NB I knit the first two rows with 4.5mm then changed to 5mm needles.
row 1: K1P1 to end (right side)
row 2: Knit to end
for 20 rows then continue the border pattern for 20 st either side of the
central cable pattern of 5 x C6F cables separated by reverse stocking stitch.
Finish off with 20 more rows of the border pattern, then cast off. NB I knit the last two rows and cast off using 4.5mm needles.
Lace border - I wanted a deeper lace border than the ones on my other two blankets as it worked out a little smaller than I’d anticipated, so I worked out a different, wider border which was sewn on afterwards.
