Batman
In grey cast on 28sts
Rows 1-2 Knit
Rows 3-5 SS 3 rows, beginning with a knit row
Rows 6-7 In yellow SS 2 rows
Rows 8-14 In grey SS 7 rows
Row 15 K2tog across- 14sts
Row 16 In black Purl a row
Row 17 (K1, inc) across row- 21sts
Row 18 Purl a row
Row 19 K 9sts black, 3sts flesh, 9sts black
Row 20 P 8sts black, 5sts flesh, 8sts black
Row 21 K 8sts black, 5sts flesh, 8sts black
Rows 22-29 In black SS 7 rows
Cast off.
Join row ends.
Sew across top, keeping back seam in the centre.
Stuff head, the run a thread around the neck and tighten, then place some stitches across the neck inside to keep the stuffing in place. Then put the needle through the top centre of the head, then back down to the neck and pull so the middle goes down creating the curve, secure the stitch and pinch the ears into shape.
Embroider eyes, mouth, buckle, and bat on chest.
Arms
Cast on 7 sts in black
SS 4 rows
Change to grey SS 5 rows
Cast off. Run a thread through the cast on stitches and gather, join seam and attach arms
Cape
In black cast on 14sts
12 rows garter stitch
Row 13 K2tog, K10, K2tog- 12sts
Knit 2 rows
Row 16 K2tog, K8, K2tog- 10sts
Cast off.
Stitch to the back, bottom black row of the head.

Next time would probably try googley eyes.
