Wonderful and addictive pattern!
I used acrylic dk wool and 4mm needles for these jumpers.
They weigh 8-10g and are 10cm high
To knit the Santa coat I used the basic pattern with a few changes.
I have written down the pattern in a separate project if it helps anyone.

I made a lot using duplicate stitch.
But I had trouble doing duplicate stitch on a darker colour as the darker colour was showing through.
So for the angel, candle, star and others on dark colours I knitted it using intarsia, then did duplicate stitch over the top.
It took a while but I was more pleased with the end result
When I knitted the candy cane I planned to duplicate stitch over the top, but it came out looking nicely twisted, and I really liked the effect.
The Christmas lights are stitched on using back stitch for the string and lazy daisy stitch for the lights.
Some patterns work better stitched on the back side of the jumper, so the stitches are upside down V’s.
Especially the top of gnome hat etc. The small penguin would have looked a lot better stitched upside down. Hey ho. My niece loves his “heart eyes” so he stays as he is!
My husband says my gingerbread man looks like ET skydiving but that just makes me like him more
I used mattress stitch to sew up the sides. I did it extremely close to the edge, catching the space half a stitch in, needs must as some patterns needed the full 17sts width.
On the sleeves I caught the stitches above the cast on/ cast off edges- when I pulled the mattress stitch tight this helped to even out the sleeves.
A fun project full of whimsy.
I enjoyed it!
Had to make 22 more for my brother in law.
A real heirloom project x
I made a few more!
Lots of ideas from the Spindleknitters stocking projects.
The toadstool was from a project called Oskar’s Mushroom Field.
Harry’s jumper also works for my daughter Hannah.
I designed the Santa down the chimney as requested by Hubby.
For the green cable jumper I used the cable design from gift card-igans. I had to cast on 2 extra sts so the body was the same size as the other jumpers, (19 sts) no change on the sleeves.
I did the cable design on both sides to keep the jumper the same width front and back.
For the train I raided the sewing box and used buttons for wheels and a hook from a hook/eye fastener for the carriage attachment hook.
