This is a very interesting optical illusion. All the lines are straight but you see spirals wrapping round each other.

It is also interesting that some people see purple spirals on an orange background and others see orange on purple.

It is a very portable project as it is made from 24 square modules. You could put different numbers of squares together to make different sizes.

I used Aran yarn but it would work in any type of yarn.
