I love the way this piece of knitting can fold to make pleats. The fabric is soft and squishy but automatically falls into folds if you let it. Fasten the folds together and you get that lovely star effect on the top,

A really fun thing is that it doesn’t have to stay like that. Unfasten the tie that holds it together and it turns back into a cowl or headband.
