This happens to coincide with the time when there has been a lot in the news about ‘panic buying’ but the pattern is really to do with the recent anniversary of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to The Galaxy.

I made both versions of the lettering and put them on the two sides of a cushion. They were almost square when I made them but I turned one through 90 degrees before I joined them together so that they would pull each other into a perfect square.

The letters are much smaller than the numbers on Life, the Universe and Everything and they are nearer to the edge. The cushion cannot be too rounded because the letters start to disappear when you should be seeing them. Making a wall-hanging would ensure that the letters stay flat.

I used Spice for the letters. I think red would have been more appropriate but it does not photograph well.
