It has taken me a very long time to finish this, not because it was difficult but because I became distracted by something (non-knitting) that was eating my time.

I used about 400 metres (440 yards) of Cloud Blue and Kelly Green. The finished size is appproximately 70 cm x 80 cm (26” x 32”). The photos show the map stretched over a board.

When you stand in front of the map you see only stripes; as you move around the map appears and disappears. The illusion would work using any thickness of yarn.
