It has taken me a very long time to finish this - partly because it is big and partly because I have been busy doing other (non-knitting) things and couldn’t give it the time it needed. It was worth waiting for because I love the result.

I usually use DK yarns for my illusions but they work equally well in any weight of yarn. I thought this one would be just too big to hang on the wall at home if I used DK so I used 4 ply instead.

If all goes to plan, it will be on display at the Haworth Art Gallery, Accrington, Lancashire, in February 2014.
