The KAL itself will begin Jan 4, 2012, and continue for a total of 4 Wednesdays, with clues released once a week.
The pattern includes both toe-up and top-down versions.
It is written for 2 circs/magic loop, but is easily adaptable to DPNs if you are comfortable with them.
Pattern includes 4 sizes. S/M/L/XL (women’s US 6-7/7-8/8-9/9-10)
This is the perfect first sock pattern, it has a ton of stretch so each size fits a range of sizes.
Now the great news for those that have “sock-fear”! In this pattern there are NO gussett stitches to pick up. In this pattern that are NO W&T (wrap and turn) And there are TWO Toe options, so you do not have to do kitchener if you don’t want to.
I have been having some issues with keeping with projects lately. I am finishing up a few test knits then I will be stopping that for awhile. I need to work through some of my stash of yarn (got a bit for Christmas/B-day that doesn’t count, but still LOTS in the craft room).
I plan on doing TAAT ML toe-up socks with a “Tomato Heel” by Cat Bordhi.
I have previously purchased the eBook by Cat and am awaiting the release of the first clue. :)
02/05/12: I got to the heel and did the STH and it is WAY to tight for me. I am not sure if I did some thing wrong or if I should add some half rows in there to make it bigger. (Confesstion: I have really far feet and legs. This is why I make socks. But I wanted to try a new technique.) I need another heel type so that I don’t get so board with the plain ones.
They are resting for a bit right now.
