I hope to knit this as a year long project starting on my 58th birthday, January 1st of 2018. I have approximately 2 weeks to get my yarns chosen.
Past temperatures for our area are available at: https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/canada/chilliwack/his... which should make recording the daily temperature highs (and lows?) a bit easier.

Still waiting on my Knitpicks order which was placed on December 18th! Unfortunately my chosen base colour, black, is in that order so even though some of the temperatures we’ve had in the first 3 days of the year could have been knit, I haven’t been able to start.

Finally got a start on this today!
- I’ve chosen to cast on 100 sts and work in the round so that all the ends will be hidden inside.
- I worked 5 rounds of black to start.
- I plan to knit 2 rounds of black between each month.
- I’m working 3 rounds to represent the HIGH temperature for each day.
- The centre round of each of the daily stripes will have every 5th stitch done in the colour for the LOW temperature that day.

January in this area saw temperatures that remained predominantly in the grass to macaw range. Errm -- I mean in the 3 to 8 degrees celsius range, (37 to 46 degrees Fahrenheit). I’ve been going through an awful lot of the colour “macaw”, which is a problem because it was the one colour that I did not have a full ball to start with. I’ll have to order more. Soon.

March saw a high temperature of 18°C (tomato) and a low of 0°C (rainforest). The knitting is more fun now that there are a few of the higher temperatures showing up.

I keep forgetting to get a finished photo of this project! I also need to do a bit of a blog post. Soon!
