Notes

Swatched with an F hook, a G hook, and an H hook; I like the fabric best with the F hook. It’s the smallest, and I’m hoping the extra yardage will make a large enough size accounting for the difference in gauge.

I have decided to do the granny’s the way I was taught, with a ch 3 in the corner and a ch 1 in between the blocks. The pattern calls for a ch 2 in both of those places, and to me it makes the straight edge look a little floppy.

I’m starting with the darkest green in the center and fading out to the lightest.

8-4-14 - just finished up the darkest (bluegrass); measured leftover at 7.5 yds.

8-10-14 - finished up the 2nd darkest (evergreen); measured leftover at 18.5 yds. Almost had enough to complete the row, but ran short so I frogged it back cause I prefer to start the new yarn at the edge.

8-16-14 - finished up the middle green (kelly green) with no leftover. I thought I had enough to finish up the row, but I did not. I literally had 4 blocks left until the end of the row and I ran out of yarn. I decided there was no way I was frogging all that out, so I joined the new yarn right there, breaking my original plan to only change colors at the edges. Oh well.

8-25-14 - worked on it after kayaking on Castaway Cay.

8-30-14 - finished it up at mile marker 388 on I-75 northbound in FL with less than 1 yd left!
