Notes

This is my first attempt with the ten stitch twist pattern. I decided to use Caron’s Worsted weight acrylic yarn for a test blanket and I think I’ll just keep on going to make and see what happens. I’m learning so much doing this project. Recently I learned that slipping your first stitch (although you won’t see it in this pic) can make your knitting tighter at the edges and prettier. I also learned that doing your ridges correctly the first time will save hours and hours of undoing later on. I had an issue with where to pick up stitches but I think I got it now so my next round shouldn’t be too bad. My center circle… well really isn’t much of a circle lol. It is odd shaped but instead of going back I decided to venture forward hoping my earlier lesson was learned. I recommend this pattern to any new knitter who is ready for bit of a challenge.

UPDATE 2/24/2013: I’ve decided this will be Kenny and Billie’s blanket. They sort of took it over while I was knitting along and it’s big enough for both of them to enjoy so I’ve decided to end it here.
