My best estimates indicated that this shawl would use one 150g hank of the main color, one 50g skein each of contrast colors 2 & 3, and two 50g skeins of contrast color 4. The two small modifications I needed to make were to omit one garter ridge of the main color following the last colorwork section, and to alter the bind off from a three-stitch i-cord bind off to a two-stitch i-cord bind off. As it was, I was about 12” short, but had that much left over from a 21 Color Slouch Kit. However, upon further investigation, I realized that the first skein was one I had used in a colorwork hat, and I had accurately recorded how much I used (about 25yards). So, to make a long story short, two full skeins of CC3 should be enough for a two-stitch i-cord bind off, and probably even the specified three-stitch version.
