Block is coming out 8.5in off the hook using 11x11 c2c squares

Finished squares April 22nd. Starting to assemble now!

May 7th finished assembly…onto the ends OMG the ends!!!

May 13th - starting the border FINALLY! Plan to do four rows of linen stitch alternating red and pink, then do two rows of white then do four rows again alternating red and pink ending with a crab stitch using red

this uses ALOT of yarn. I added my amounts here, however, I’m thinking I may be understating on the red.

Just need to tuck the border ends, wash and it is off to the reunion!! Next time I will just do it all in c2c and eliminate the squares completely. Seems like that makes more sense plus would give a much more smooth look. I will make another one for sure!

The border I went with is just a linen stitch using red and pink. I wanted to add a strip of white then repeat the pink and red lines but it was starting to wave too much so I pulled the white and left it as is. Hopefully whoever wins it at my reunion will like it :)
