Darn, those boys grew out of their previous hats, and their uncle never even said a word to me. We can’t have these boys running around the vineyard, taking kitchen scraps out to the goat pen, without new hats that cover their noggins! No sore throats! No ear aches! Be prepared.

This is ANOTHER! TWO! of the best winter hat ever, Kristine Burns’ 1898 Hat. I had some of the Superwash DK, and with the lighter weight yarn and the smaller needles, I think it will be perfect for the boys for the next few winters.

So they don’t fight over them (or to ensure that they do) i added a different carry-along sock yarn just above the earband for each hat. Since I had yarn left over from the hats, there will also be … scarves.
