Ears cold? Hair a mess? Didn’t want to wash it? It’s too windy, but don’t want to wear a hat? Here is the best thing! Just a little bit of yarn, and your hair problems are solved.

This super-fast, super-cute headband is a freebie pattern from Drops, and is entirely gift-able. Once you have made one or two, you can easily adapt the headband to the head size and yarn weight you have on hand. You can make it wider or narrower to suit your own taste. I started with a provisional cast-on, and finished with a three-needle bind-off.

I used about 75 yards in a worsted weight yarn for each of these headbands. I will be making a few more for myself, too. In a pinch, you can also use it as a neck gaiter. In one photo, I show it being worn OVER the Dulcie Hat for extra warmth and more style. Weather conditions on the mountain are always changing.
