Lengthened waist to armhole by 1”. Used just over 2 balls for the back. 3rd ball lasted to start of neck shaping on 1st front. 4th ball lasted to 10 rows below armhole on 2nd front, 6th ball plus some of 5th for 1st sleeve, started 2nd sleeve with remains of 5th while starting collar with 7th which did rows 17-52. Joined in 8th ball about 30 rows up 2nd sleeve and 9th about 20 rows before the end. Used part of the rest of 9th for the collar.

Front weighs 57g, back 95g, sleeve 62g, collar 60g.

Knitted sleeves simultaneously with fronts/collar as lace was too complicated for mindless knitting.

Worked the yarnovers after a knit st and before a purl by taking the yarn over the top of the needle rather than between the needles and round again, to ensure they matched the yarnovers on the opposite side.

Cast on for collar with 5.5mm needles and changed to 5mm after 1st row, then to 4.5mm after another 2 or 3 rows. Charted the 20 stitch pattern repeat from the central portion of the collar in Excel and printed it large to avoid having to look at miniscule charts other than for the first and last few sts of each row.

24/3/16 - Finished the knitting. Blocking in batches because blocking mat not big enough to do all 6 pieces. Still need to assemble and crochet up fronts.

2/4/16 - Flummoxed by the button instructions. Have instead made covers for some hemispherical buttons based on these instructions (which also confused me).

This won third prize in its category at the local agricultural show.
