This was a student project which she couldn’t finish in one class, so she asked me to finish for her. It was loosely based on this picture crochet mandala, but she wanted with only two colours and lacy so it would dialogue with the yellow floor.

I created each row as they were made incorporating overlay with mercer lace to make the holes work as a third colour.

Afterwards, I was able to trace the original pattern from that picture, which is Overlay Mandala No. 1
