I created this project page when I got the test knit pattern, but didn’t actually cast on until September 28.

I’ve been working on a test knit for @nash.knits and am completely smitten with the clean lines and this shoulder detail on the back of the sweater. I’m making the 3-4 year size for my littlest guy, he’s only 1.5 yrs old, but is really big for his age so it’s actually looking like it will fit perfectly.
This section was all Shakers Rib so it’s similar to brioche, but different enough that I had to keep catching myself from making actual Brioche Rib instead.
It’s been a really fun knit so far & I’m really looking forward to making another one in a larger size for my other son once Nash releases that version of the Biskrem Sweater. The next section involves colorwork so I’m excited for a change of pace and a new color added in.

Maybe it’s a bit weird, but I was nervous about how the instructions for the dashed line of stitches would go but the pattern was super clear. I really liked knitting that round and love the little detail that it adds to the sweater.

Picked this back up to discover that I only had 2 rounds of colorwork and 5 rounds of ribbing before the bind off for the body.
Quickly took care of that… The Italian bind off is for tomorrow, though.

I absolutely love the Italian Bind Off!! Such a genius way to cleanly finish a garment while still keeping the stretch of the ribbing. I think this is my new go-to for toe-up socks, too. It’s just beautiful and a lovely process to stitch, very soothing and relaxing with a cup of coffee and a cozy podcast. I enjoyed a nice hour with Danish Musings and another half hour with Karen Knits while I enjoyed my bind off and coffee before everyone in the house woke up.
